William G. Bryant

82, of Indianapolis, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 11, 2013 after a 2 ½ year battle with PSP - Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was born on August 31, 1930 in Indianapolis to Raymond and Pauline (Beck) Bryant. William is a 1948 graduate of Tech High School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and spent his entire career at Boyd E. Phelps. William married the love of his life, Beatrice L. Merrick on December 28, 1952; she survives him. He is also survived by his daughters, Carol (Emory) Schlake and Gloria (Robert Michealree) Bryant; grandsons, Matthew and Joshua Schlake. William was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Evelyn Brown. The entire Bryant family offers special thanks to the caregivers of Home Instead and Dr. Michael S. LaRosa. Visitation for Mr. Bryant will be held at Flanner and Buchanan - Speedway on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10 a.m., also in the funeral home.
