Eric Willing Obituary
Eric John Willing
38, died on May 27, 2013 with his family by his side. Eric was born October 17, 1974 in Sarnia, Ontario Canada to Gary and Sue (Harwood) Willing. He was raised in Port Huron, Michigan.
Eric graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000, with a degree in Chemical Engineering, where he met his future wife, Katie Konopka. They married on January 8, 2005. After graduation they moved to Indianapolis to both work for Eli Lilly.
Eric was a loving and devoted father to his two sons, Jared and Nathan. He is also survived by his brother, Mark Willing; and sisters, Kerrie Tramski and Angela Sontag.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel , 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St. Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.

Eric was an amazing man, loving husband and father, and great friend. He always had a kind thing to say and such a positive attitude. I will miss seeing and talking with him. He was wonderful to work with. So many stories about what his sons did or said. Always brought a smile to my face.Rest in Peace Eric. You are and will be terribly missed by all who knew you.Lori

I'm saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person. Eric was always so positive. Heartbreaking to see a young husband and father taken before his time. For me, I find some solace in Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own undertstanding." One day, you'll be reunited with your family again. My condolences to the entire Willing family. You are all very much in our prayers.
