David L. Roberson, Sr.
82, Avon, died August 22. 2013. He was born May 16. 1931 to Earl and Hazel (Ross) Roberson. David graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1949. He joined the Navy from 1950-54 during the Korean War. Upon returning home he married Dorothy Miller in 1954 and continued his education at Indiana University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree. Mr. Roberson, Sr. worked as a Controller for Harcourt Clinic of Indiananolis and National Car Rental retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Plainfield Elks and the Plainlield Masonic Lodge. David thoroughly enjoyed playing golf. He and his wife Dorothy were married 58 years and belonged to Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church.
Services: 11 a.m., Wed., Aug. 28 at Bartlett Chapel with visitation there 4 - 7 p.m., Tues., Aug. 27. Cremation to follow service with interment to be announced at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Roberson, Avon; children, David Roberson Jr., Indiananolis. IN, Edward (Stacey) Roberson, Brownsburg, IN, a brother, Norman Roberson, Brownsburg, IN, and a sister Clara Mae Dunham, lndianapolis, IN, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
