My grandfather was more of a man than I could ever dream to be. He served his country and community as a WWII vet and a firefighter, putting his concern for others well being over his own. He will always be dearly loved and greatly missed.

Bob was a real American hero. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism during WWII. He fought at Normandy and Anzio. He won his Bronze Star for taking charge of the unit when they had lost their CO while under attack in Italy. Almost out of ammo the first day, they were able to hold off the Germans for 18 hours until relief came. After WWII Bob came home and served his community as a Lieutenant as a Indianapolis fireman for 33 years before retiring. God Bless Bob for his selfless service to all.
