Dr. Linton D. Abner

Age 85, of Lake Worth, FL, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his residence. Born in Berea, Kentucky, he had been a resident of Lake Worth for twelve years, moving from Elwood, IN. He was a Methodist by faith, an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed playing poker. He was a graduate of the Indiana University School of Optometry and opened his optometric practice in Elwood in 1962. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly J. Abner of Lake Worth, FL; two daughters, Babette Harpster and Elisa Abner-Taschwer, both of Indianapolis; one grandson, Jack Abner Harpster.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Palm Beach National Chapel in Lake Worth, FL. Memorials may be made to the Indiana University School of Optometry.
