Laura Lou Hochhalter Ullmann

80, was born April 14, 1934. She passed away peacefully on June 16, 2014 in St. Louis, MO. Laura was an Indianapolis native and lived for many years with her husband, Harrison in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood. She moved to St. Louis in 2001 to be near her children.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Jordan Ullmann; her parents, Dr. Herbert and Naomi Hochhalter and her grandson, Jordan James Grobe.

She is survived by her brother, John Hochhalter (Alyce) of Terre Haute; her children, Lynn (Michelle) Ullmann, Thomas (Susan) Ullmann and Anne (Ken) Grobe. She was the beloved grandmother of 7, Charles, Chelsea and Jackson Ullman, Nicholas, Joshua and Nathan Grobe and Gian Ullmann Zignago. Laura was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Laura worked for many years in the Indiana State Legislature and The Indiana Council of Community Mental Health Centers in Indianapolis. She and her husband Harrison met at Indiana University in Bloomington and were both graduates. She was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the .
