Walter Truskalo Obituary
83, of Titusville, NJ, passed away Tuesday, April 25 at his home. Born in Ukraine and raised in Belgium, he immigrated to the USA in 1953. He proudly served in the US Army from 1956 - 1958. Following his service, he enrolled in Syracuse University earning his Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 1961, and continued on earning his Master's degree in 1967.
During his career, he worked for GE, Magnavox, Philco-Ford, RCA, David Sarnoff Research Center (now SRI), Phillips, and Thompson Consumer Electronics in Indianapolis, Indiana from where he retired. Mr. Truskalo is the holder of many patents in the Television Industry.
He was a musician and avid chess player.
Son of the late Tihon and Maria Truskalo, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn; 3 daughters, Lillian Truskalo of Ewing, Elizabeth Truskalo and Irene Truskalo both of Staten Island, NY; his brother, Anatoli Truskalo and his sister Nina Novonhatko; also, 3 grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew.
Private funeral services were held under the direction of the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing, NJ 08618.
