Steve Fernandez

Steve Fernandez was born August 3, 1938 to the late Mary and Carmel Fernandez and grew up in Hayward, CA. He was very close to his now deceased two brothers Raymond and Carmel Jr. Steve passed away at his home after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was a Supervisor at Sunshine Biscuit for 39 years, in Oakland, and was highly respected by all. He enjoyed his job and all those he worked with.
Steve was a Life Member of Sportsmen's Yacht Club in Antioch for 30 years; nothing was more fun to him than boating, fishing and spending the day on the water.
Steve is survived by his devoted and loving wife Rosalyn Fernandez, Daughters, Debra Fernandez, Peggy Andrews, Cheryl Fernandez, Son, Mark Dickinson, Grand Children, Shawn Andrews, Crystal Johnson, Stephen Ray Fernandez, and 5 Great Grand Children.
Services are set for Mon., June 23, 2014 at 1 pm at Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544 (510) 471-3363

Our thoughts and prayers are with Rosie, Steve's children and his family. I met Steve in 1960 when I started working at Sunshine, not only were we co-workers but friends. We had many good times together hanging out and fishing. I was sadden to hear of his passing.

I worked with Steve he was a easy guy to like. Sorry to hear he's gone but he did have a good life.
