Frank, a former long-term resident of Hayward, passed peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 88, at Sonora Regional Hospital on June 27, 2014.
Frank was born in Modesto and was raised in the Niles area. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and later graduated with a Master's Degree from San Jose State University. He enjoyed a 37-year career with the Hayward Unified School District, retiring as the Director of Elementary Education. Frank was elected and served on the H.U.S.D. School Board and also taught student teacher's at Cal State East Bay.
Frank is survived by his two sons, Thomas A. Perry and Alan F. Perry, four grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
Frank will be laid to rest at the San Joaquin National Cemetery, following a private family memorial service, and will join his loving wife of 51 years, Phyllis R. Perry, who preceded his death in 2000.
