Grace "Frendo" Allen

GRACE ALLEN (FRENDO) Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at her home in San Carlos, with her family at her side. Born one of nine to Matthew and Marianna Frendo in San Francisco on February 25, 1928. Sister of the late Josephine Schembri, Carmen Conedera, Rita Glover, Sam Frendo, Alex Frendo, and Robert Frendo. Survived by sisters; Theresa Nelson (Don), Mary Frendo, sister-in-laws; Kathleen Frendo, Judy Frendo, many nieces and nephews and special friends. Married to the late Edward Allen for 48 years. Survived by daughters; Patty McGowan, Kathy Jacobs (Rick), Maureen Fish (Rob), and Sandy O'Brien (Kelly). "Nam" of Tami Brigman (Tom), Karyn Booth (Steve), "Grandma" of Jennifer Scott (John), Dianna Johnson (Gordon), Laura Ludwig (Ulysses), "Pep" of Randy, Darlene (Mike Doto), and Scott Fish, "Nana" of Tracy Kieffer (Brett), Bobby O'Brien (Julie), "Grandma Grace" to Brian and Bret McGowan, Bonnie McInerney, Jarrod and Adam Jacobs, and a great-grandmother of 7 and 2 on the way. Grace retired after 37 years as a Senior Executive of Macy's, was a longtime volunteer for the F.I.S.H. organization and was a member of Kiwanis. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Grace's Life on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials in Grace's name to the American Cancer Society, 1650 S.
