Joan Cameron Forsyth

Joan Cameron Forsyth 1969 - 2012 Resident of Hayward Joan Cameron Forsyth passed away on Oct. 17, 2012 after a brief illness. Joan was born on March 10, 1969 along with her twin sister Sara. She attended school in Hayward, CA and graduated from Hayward High School in 1988. After a brief stint in the Job Corps in San Diego, where she received a certificate in welding, she moved back to Hayward. She graduated from Chabot College in 2006 with an AA degree and had plans to attend California State University, East Bay. She is survived by siblings David, Susan and Timothy, father James, mother-in-law Silvia, mother-in-spirit Rebecca, nephews Cameron, Christopher and Liam, nieces Andrea, Anna and Michelle and sisters-in-law Rhonda and Sandra. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances and her sister Sara. Joan was extremely devoted to her family and spent many hours babysitting Anna, Cameron, and Liam. She was also extremely devoted to her animal friends including cats Jesus and Kitty and dog Jake. Joan was a devoted aunt, sister, daughter and friend to the people and animals in her life. Her love and passion for those around her was extraordinary. In this way she will be terribly missed and always remembered. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joan will be held on Nov. 10, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church (22577 Bayview Ave, Hayward, CA 94541). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chabot Veterinary Clinic (20877 Foothill BLVD, Hayward, CA 94541). If you do donate, please include in the memo that the money is to go to the Joan Forsyth fund. This fund will defray the cost of veterinary care for low income owners.
