Linda Marie Maldonado-Butler, 49, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2013 at her home in Walnut Creek, California. Linda was born February 23, 1964, in Castro Valley, California to Benito and Thelma Maldonado. She was the youngest of three children. She attended and graduated from San Lorenzo High School and Chabot College in Hayward. She was employed as an Escrow Officer by Old Republic Title for many years. Linda was vibrant, creative, unique, extremely outgoing and loved life. Her many passions included riding her motorcycle, snowboarding, traveling and music. However, her greatest passion in life was for her son, Van, who meant the world to her. Linda is survived by her son, Van E. Butler, his father, Jason Butler, mother, Thelma Maldonado, stepfather, Lee Larson, sister, Vivian Heffernan, brother, Ben Maldonado as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Santos-Robinson Mortuary 160 Estudillo Ave. San Leandro, on Tuesday June 11, 2013 from noon to 8:00PM. A Chapel Service will be held at the mortuary on Wednesday beginning at 10AM. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
