Michael Anthony Thomas Mar. 3, 1922 - June 23, 2013 Resident of San Leandro Michael was born in Rochester, NY along with his twin Tony on March 3, 1922 to parents Leonard and Marie DiTomaso. At 20 years old Michael enlisted in the Army
serving our country for 4 years. Soon thereafter he became a truck driver for Local 588, met and married his wife of 46 years, Elsie Thomas and raised two children; Michelle, and Michael. Michael was President of the San Lorenzo Little League during the '60's and a member of the East Bay Hui Kamaina Club. Michael loved to dance and was not picky about his music so long as it had a 'good beat.' After Elsie's passing Michael spent much of his free time bowling at the Manor Bowl where he met his long time girlfriend Lori Ochoa. Lori and he would enjoy many cruises throughout the rest of their lives together, visiting faraway exotic locations such as Hawaii, Panama, Caribbean and Alaska. Their last vacation just 6 months ago was spent in romantic Calistoga. Michael is survived by his two children Michelle Phillips of Copperopolis, Michael Thomas II of San Lorenzo, brother Angelo DiTomaso of Florida, and his grandchildren Tiffany Kuehl of Napa, Tami Hoffman of Minden, NV, Nicole Pittman of Fresno, and Kimberly, Brenda and Kenneth Vincent of San Lorenzo. Michael also had bragging rights to 14 great grandchildren.
