Thomas Conrad Denne

Thomas Conrad Denne
August 10, 1959 - July 27, 2013
Resident of San Jose
In an instant on a glorious Saturday afternoon, beloved father, son, and brother Tom was ushered from this world into the next. His untimely and wholly unanticipated passing stunned the sensibilities and quite literally broke the hearts of the considerable circle of family and friends - here in the Valley and across the country - whose lives had been intertwined with his.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of both Penn Hills High School and Bethany College (W. Va.) he excelled as an offensive guard in football, and with his teammates won the PA State Championship at Penn Hills and an NCAA Division III Regional title at Bethany. That drive to succeed brought him to Sunnyvale in 1983 where he subsequently established T.D.I., a modular furniture installation company - and later the Axiom II dealership - that for many years outfitted the offices of some of the biggest names in Bay Area business, including Bechtel International and Hewlett Packard, with
too many more to name.
Ultimately settling in Fremont, he raised the pride of his life - a family with wife Lauren - and is survived by his four children: Kyle (26), Tommy (24) Aimee (23) and Kimberly (21); his mother Rita O. Denne (father Thomas H. Denne having preceded him in 1992) and sister Dorothy Linn of Newtown, PA; sister Kathleen Cassell of Glade Hill, VA; and brother Michael Denne of Sunnyvale. A gentle man of boundless magnanimity who gave freely with no expectation to receive, Tom reveled in games of chance and the thrill of living, and understood fully that the only real risk in life was
not to accept one.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral service on Friday Aug 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mission Springs Community Church, 48989 Milmont Dr, Fremont, CA 94538. Reception to follow at the Padilla Residence.
