Marcia Karp

Marcia Karp Longtime resident and former First Lady of the city of San Leandro Passed away on April 2, 2012 at the age of 76. She was the loving wife of David S. Karp, Mayor of San Leandro, for 38 years before his death in 1993. She is survived by her son, Dennis Karp and his wife Pam of Chandler, AZ as well as her daughter Judy and her husband Loren Murray of Granite Bay, CA. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Tiffany Murray, Austin Murray, and David Karp. Marcia served as a volunteer for the "Friends of the San Leandro Library" and worked in their gift shop for many years. She was profoundly loved by both family and friends and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the "Friends of the San Leandro Library". A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. in Hayward.
