Resident of Newark
Arrow Cecelia Wind passed away on Friday after many years of living with Alzheimer's and Lewy body disease. She helped many people with her generous spirit and zest for life. Arrow was born in Oakland, CA and was a devoted wife; mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved to cook and sew. Throughout her life she spent a great deal of time helping individuals in need and donated her time and money to many organizations that helped abused women and children rebuild their lives. Arrow and her husband James were members of the 1546 Union Retirees, attending monthly meetings and helping many charities. Arrow is survived by her loving husband James: devoted children James Neal of Texas, Catherine of Newark and John of Newark and grandchildren, Marcel Wind Couch of Newark and Evan Wind of San Jose. Her giving and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to a visitation Wednesday July 31, 2013 from 10:00am to 11:00am and funeral service at 11:00am at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Road in Hayward. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
