She was a great friend to all of us Lincoln Park kids in the late 40's and early 50's. Especially loved the Easter Hat Parades. What a great lady she was.

When I was young boy in the 1930's and spent most ofmy time @ Washington Park on the west end. When we traveled to Lincoln Park for sports Miss Rowney always made us feel welcome and at home. What a wonderful Lady and I have fond memories of those days.

Auntie Bea was an inspiration to everyone who had the good fortune to know her. The island of Alameda and all of her many friends and family were truly enriched by Auntie Bea's presence in their lives. - The Hazard Family
