Dorothy McDermott Obituary

Dorothy M. McDermott Feb. 26, 1925 - Feb. 14, 2013 Resident of Castro Valley My Beloved Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep on St. Valentines Day, early morning 2013, at the age of 87 years young. She is now with my Dad, her husband of 56 years in life, and had remained married to him in her heart after his death. Born in Lafayette, Colorado to her parents, David C. Lueras and Mabel Lueras. Besides myself, her son (Dick), Mom is survived by her sister, Frances (Sunny) Bachant of Uxbridge, Massachusetts; her sister, Lois J. Gooch; and many nieces and nephews. She moved to California with Dad and I when I was two, to live the good and noble life of being a loving wife, Mom and homemaker. She worked for a few years in retail, but preferred her home life. She loved keeping things tidy and loved her garden, and our cat, Katey. She loved being in the outdoors, especially the mountains or the seashore, and loved to be fishing with Dad and I on our house boat. I feel like I'm the luckiest son in the world to have such a great and wonderful loving Mom as you, Mom. You have always been there for me, no matter what, and you will always be here with me. Nothing can ever separate us from one another. We are bonded together with an unbreakable bond forever. Mom, you will be sorely missed here, physically, but you will, I know, always be here with me in my heart. Im so very proud to have you as my Mom!!! I love you with all my heart and soul, with undying love forever, Mom!!! Hugs and kisses XOXOXO
