Resident of Hayward
Francis "Frank" Moynihan, age 77, passed away at St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, CA on the morning of April 4th. Born in Newmarket, County Cork Ireland, Frank came to San Francisco in 1956. Frank met his beloved wife Anna in the late 50's and they were soon married. Frank held several labor type jobs before getting hired as a groundskeeper and plumbing specialist with the Diocese of Oakland Catholic Cemeteries where he worked for over 40 years. Frank is a 38 year resident of Hayward California, and was a very devoted parishioner to his church, Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic church in Union City. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Anna who passed away on May 2, 2009. Frank his survived by his oldest Son Frank Moynihan Jr. of Pleasanton CA, his only daughter, Wilma Moynihan of Hayward, and his youngest son John Moynihan of Hayward, CA.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2013 from 4 pm - 8:30 pm with a vigil at 7pm at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Rd. Hayward, CA. A funeral Mass will be held Thurs. April 11th at 10 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C St. Union City, followed by a procession to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, for prayers and burial.

To Frankie,Wilma,Johnny and their families. I only just learned of Frank passing and I am so sad now that both you mum and dad had passed. I will really missed them and never forget the kindness & love they showed me when I arrived in California in 1985. They got me my first apartment and I had my one and only first surprise birthday party at their home. I will really miss them. God bless them both as they were a great couple and parents. Frank was a wonderful, hardworking, and kindhearted man. We miss him dearly, especially his phone calls and visits during the last few years
