Resident of Fremont
Entered into rest on April 14, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 72. Beloved husband of 37 years of Dawn Scott. Loving father to Celesia "Laurie" Ventura, Aimee Campos, Ben Scott, and Jonathan Scott. Grandfather of 9. Treasured brother of Greg Scott, and Jodie Schneider.
Born March 1, 1941 in Quincy, IL, Gary attended St. John's Lutheran School, Quincy HS, received a BS in Engineering from Valparaiso University, and an MBA from Purdue University. He served 25 years with the Navy as a Seabee, and achieved rank of Lieutenant Commander. Gary devoted his life to serving God by serving others, through his devotion to his family, scouting, church, and community activities.
A Memorial Service will be held for Gary on Monday, April 22, 7pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 38451 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gary to Prince of Peace Lutheran School, 38451 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536, and to Concordia Seminary, 801 Seminary Pl., St. Louis, MO 63105.
