Resident of Union City
Entered into rest on April 22, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 71. Devoted husband of 47 years to Pamela May Turner. Beloved father of G. Kevin Turner, Christopher G. Turner, and Shannon R. Wargo. Loving grandfather to Shiloh, Leah, Shyah, Joshua, Justin, Dylan, and Cody. Caring great-grandfather to P.J. and Beau. Treasured brother of Ray Turner, Ken Turner, Dianne Turner, and Donna Turner. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Harold A. Turner.
Born June 13, 1941 in San Francisco, CA, George proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved going to the gym, swimming in the pool, and gardening. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 1, 10am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C St., Union City, CA 94587. He will be laid to rest at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
