Oh Mr. Smith....I think of him and his family daily. I am one of the fortunate people who have had one Smith or another in my life since I was a teenager. Mr. Smith was dedicated to his family, his friends and even his children's friends. I will miss him, his gruff exterior and his teddy bear insides. His presence on the pool deck helped make me a better swimmer, his love for his family helped me see how a husband, father and son can be, his loyalty to his friends showed the true meaning of what friendship is all about and his beaming pride of his grandchildren showed all what it meant to him to be a grandfather. You will be missed here, but it nice to know you are reunited with you sweetheart,
Mrs. Smith and with Stuart, who will be there to try to pull one over on you. You are going to be missed!

Dear Valerie and Laurie-
Your father was a wonderful man. He has been a great father-in-law and friend to me, especially the past five years. Hunter and I will miss our lunches with him and he will be missed by my entire family at our holiday celebrations.

Love Sheri and Hunter

Laurie,
Kiara and I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit with you and your dad in San Ramon at the hot air balloon festival in 2008. Your dad was quite the host and so nice to visit with. One of our best trips that hold very fond memories. We are thinking of you and your family. Hugs to you, K2

We had many good times with Larry and Mary Jane through out the years. He cared so much for his family. One time we took Them to our place in the San Juan Islands. Coming back across the bay your Mom was content to sit in the cab of the boat but Dad was out in the back with the wind blowing thru his hair and smiling and totally enjoying it.
He will be missed and sorry for your loss.

Dear Laurie and Valerie, Your dad was a great man.!! We shared a love for WSU, and always had a great time remembering our times there as students. The last time I saw him in person was at our 50th class reunion where we had a great time. I also got to meet Geoffrey as he was a student there at that time. Larry was very proud of him. He is with your mother now. My prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. My warmest regards, Anita Delaurenti Dull

Valerie and Laurie, May you be comforted by scripture: John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Your daddy is now whole, healthy, free of pain, chatting up a storm, and dining with the King. He has reunited with his family, including his lifelong sweetheart, Mary Jane, and son, Stuart. It is a glorious celebration.

I truly liked and respected Larry. I played at his Livermore bridge game occasionally for several years. Larry always ran his game professionally. He was a genuinely nice guy. I will miss him.
