Raised in San Leandro
Robert Woods, 56 beloved son, brother, father, and U.S. Veteran passed away on April 6, 2013. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to his loving parents Robert D. Woods and Anne Woods. He is survived by his son Donald (DJ) Woods, daughter Rachel Woods, sisters: Debbie, Lena, Wanda and Terry as well as many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and relatives in Canada. He is preceded in death by his brother Donald. His passing has left an empty spot in our hearts and we will forever miss him.
Service will be held at Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward, CA at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16th.

Robert. We just released Ma's ashes on April 4th and had her celebration April 5th but I'm you have seen her already. Thank You for being in our lives.

I need to share my story as I was coming to Robert's viewing. I listen to K-Love radio. I rarely use my CD's anymore. There was only 2 in the 6 hold player. I tried to play the 1st CD over again and forgetting how to use I changed it to the other CD. I got chills because it was the CD from when he and I went to a Veterans Blues concert across the bay. He was with me as I traveled. I am not going to be surprised and happy by your knocking on my door. Love you.

Thank you everyone for coming to his viewing. I was so happy to see how many people loved and cared for my dad. He will be very missed :'(

Dad I miss you so much. Today was so hard for me and DJ. I wanted to be so mad at you for leaving us but I know your not suffering anymore n your in a much better place. I love you so much and am so thankful for the time we spent together. God bless you daddy

Robert, I just heard and I am saddened. We have been friends since you rode a bicycle up to the park. I am sure Brother Brad will be sad also. I last saw you 2 years ago and we were both doing very well. Your smile and up personality was a wonderful thing to behold. You will be missed.

Robert, I cant believe your smiling face isnt going to crack jokes about our crazy lives anymore. I only knew you for 8 months but you turned into a close friend. One whom had a heart and compassion. You listened when I needed a shoulder and never hesitated when a friend needed help. I will always consider you a true friend and Im honored to have had you in my life, if only for a short time. God Bless you sweetie...now you are one of the angels too.....
