Resident of Walnut Creek
Rowena Irene Clarke (Easterly) Huddleston passed away peacefully on January 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old and lived a full and good life.
Rowena was born in Rochester New York on 12/24/1919, the daughter of George and Olive (Lewis) Clarke. She had one sister, Roberta (Mrs Lauren) Cox who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her three children; Bill Easterly (Connie) of Atlanta GA, Donna Easterly (Carpenter) Shattuck (Charley) of Roseville Ca, and Pete Easterly of Lafayette CA. Preceding her in death was her husband of 42 years, Bill Easterly, and her second husband, Jack Huddleston (14 years).
For the last 6 years, Rowena resided at The Kensington in Walnut Creek where she had found and lost many friends, most notably her dear companion, Jack Reilly who preceded her in death.
Rowena "Gram" was blessed with six grand children; Debbie Easterly Bembenek, Jan Easterly Ungaro, Doug Easterly, Amanda Carpenter Porter, Pete Carpenter, and Tom Shattuck, as well as many great grandchildren and adopted family, all of whom she loved dearly.
