William Cummins Obituary

William Fuller "Chris" Cummins
March 29, 1950 - October 8, 2013
Lifelong Resident of Alameda
William Cummins, better known as Chris to his friends and family, passed away Oct 8th after a short but courageous fight with cancer. Chris was a retired teamster and longtime resident of Alameda. Famously known for his dry sense of humor and politically incorrect jokes. Before he became ill he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and most of all barbeques. He loved being outside and was often seen working in his front yard and walking on Park St.
He was taken from us too soon. We will greatly miss his sarcastic wit, and infinite wisdom, for he was truly one of a kind.
Chris leaves behind his wife of 40 years Debbie Cummins, his daughter and son in-law Tammy and Demetri Frangoulis, his son Ryan Cummins, his grandchildren Blake and Cassie Frangoulis, sisters Susan Seavers, Cathy Borenzstein, mother in-law Alline Holland, as well as his nieces and nephews and many lifelong loyal friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday October 11, 2013 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the New Beginnings Chapel of the Alameda Funeral and Cremation Services, 1415 Oak Street, Alameda and Funeral Services Saturday October 12 at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward. Reception to follow. For further information please call: Harry W. Greer, Funeral Director (FDR-745).

Big Brother:

I'll miss you forever! I feel very fortunate to have spent the time I had with you before you had to go. You're resting in peace with out any more suffering or pain. You're in Heaven now with Mom, Dad, Ronnie and the rest of our Irish Clan.
Oh...Please don't forget to bless us from time to time as you did in the past. I'll always remember and smile when I think of when Father Joy from St. Phillip Neri in Alameda visited you at Kaiser Oakland and gave you, The Blessing of the Sick. When he was finished blessing you, you with your sense of humor blessed him back in Latin not skipping any words. Father Joy was very impressed and pleased you remembered your Latin from your earlier days as an alter boy. Please pray for all of us, because we all could use an extra prayer from above.

Kisses & Hugs,
Your Favorite Sister,
Susan. xoxo
