Dec. 28, 1935 - Sept. 3, 2008 Resident of Castro Valley Barbara passed away on Sept. 3, 2008 after a brief illness. Barbara was born in Oakland and was raised in Castro Valley where she was living at the time of her passing. She is survived by her daughter Robin Lokollo; brother William Lochow; granddaughter Jennifer Jacquez; great-grandson Christian Jacquez; and son-in-law Jerry Lokollo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Emma Lochow. Barbara graduated from Merritt School of Nursing in the late 1950's. She helped to open the Kaiser Hospital Pediatric Ward in the late 1960's at Hayward, CA. She finished her career in the Pediatric Outpatient Dept retiring in Dec. 1999. Her many years of service remain as a landmark. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Jess C. Spencer Morturary, 21228 Redwood Rd.,Castro Valley, across from the Bart Station. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to your favorite charity. Jess C.
