Born & raised in Oakland, Charlotte graduated from Castlemont High School, and then attended U.C. Davis & Cal State Hayward.
She married Kenneth Weissenborn on Aug. 2, 1969. She worked as a high school teacher for 36 years; 32 of those years at American, in Fremont teaching history.
She was very active in the Swedish American Patriotic League.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughters, Karin Slack (Mark); Linnea Chapman (Gregory); and Marta Weissenborn; grandchildren Ryan & Lauren Slack, & Svea Chapman; sister, Carol Ainsworth; & several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Gladys Peterson; Hilda & Carl Weissenborn; Ed Weissenborn; Don Ainsworth; sister Jean Brooks; & nephew John Brooks.
Donations can be made to the Sveadal Memorial Fund (123 Bloomfield Rd., Burlingame, CA 94010).
Services will be held Sat., Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Sveadal Clubhouse, 8220 Croy Rd., Morgan Hill.

John and I are so saddened to learn of Charlotte's passing. We were next-door neighbors to Charlotte and Ken many years ago. Our hearts go out to Ken and their daughters. Judy Kaslick

Charlotte was one of the first teachers I really got to know at American High School. She always had a smile on her face. She loved talking about her family. Charlotte you will be missed. Now your an Angel smiling down on the rest of us.

I had the pleasure of getting to know both Charlotte and Ken remodeling there family home in 2005. Charlotte was a pleasure to work holding both patience and gratitude throughout the entire project. My deepest sympathy goes out to her entire family for their great loss. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Weissenborn was one of my teachers at AHS and I remember her as a nice, fair, kind teacher and person. My heart is heavy with this news and my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
