Born in Charleroi, PA to the late Ugo and Lena Pollacci. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eyen. Sally was the loving mother of Joseph, Nancy, Patricia and James. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Jennifer, Becki, Bri, Katie, Jeff, Joe and Lena; and 5 great grandchildren: Domenic, Vincent, Michael, Grace and Daniel.
Sally and her family moved to Pittsburgh, CA in 1929. At the age of 24 Sally and her twin sister, Toni moved to Oakland. In 1948 Joe and Sally married and lived in San Francisco, eventually settling in Oakland to raise their family. Her work life included the Oakland Army Base, St. Jarlath Grammar School, and as a Registrar for the Oakland Public Schools, among others. Her fondest moments were those spent with family over a good meal. Her warm spirit and loving kindness will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1022 Holly Street, Alameda, followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26230 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
