Felipe Gutterriez Jr. passed away February 8, 2013 at Marymount Villa Retirement Center. He is now with our Mom, his wife of 60 years, Shirley Rochon Gutterriez and our sister, Cheryl Lynne Gutterriez.
Dad served in the Navy during WWII and in the Merchant Marines after the War. He then became a skilled plaster. For over 50 years, he was a proud members of the Operative Plasters and Cement Masons Union and an union organizer.
He was also a huge Oakland A's fan who loved attending their games. He also enjoyed listening to jazz, spending time with his family and friends, and walking his dog, "Belle".
He is survived by his children, Suzanne and her husband Tim, Felipe and his wife Eileen, Craig and his wife Sylvia, his grandchildren, Chris and Mia and great grandchildren, Phillip and Shilo.
Our Dad was a good man and will be missed by his family and friends.
We would like to thank the staff at Marymount Villa Retirement Center and Kaiser Oakland for their excellent care of our Dad.
There will be a memorial mass held at St. Augustine Church Saturday, February 23, 400 Alcatraz Ave., Oakland, CA 94609.
