Willi Keppler was a resident of Newark CA. He died on Feb. 25, 2013 at the age of 71 in Fremont, CA. Willi was born in Germany where he studied the culinary arts as a teen and served as an apprentice. He moved to New York as a young adult where he began his career. He met Bonnie in New York and they were married in 1971. After a few years they moved to the Bay Area with their baby son, Karl, where he continued to climb in his career and became an Executive Chef for United Airlines. Daughter Lisa joined the family in 1976. Willi retired, due to illness, in 1994.
Willi leaves, to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie, son Karl, daughter Lisa and two grandsons, Ian and Evan of Newark, CA. He also has a devoted niece in Germany, Rosi Loewrosi.
He loved travelling worldwide with Bonnie and not so worldwide to Reno and Las Vegas, especially. He spent many happy hours with friends and family celebrating every possible large and small event of life.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass for Willi on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Lucille Packard Children's Hospital located in Palo Alto, CA.
