Helen Luna
Resident of Hayward
Helen passed away on January 18th, at the age of 88. A native of Uvalde, Texas, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Gilbert Luna; as well as their cherished son, Robert. She is survived by her loving children Rachel, Gilbert (Janet), Anna, Josephine, & David (Christine); a proud Grandmother of 6; adored Great-Grandmother of 11; she is also survived by her sister, Beatrice White.
Helen worked as a Cannery Worker and a Dry Cleaner Presser. She was a huge SF Giants fan, who also enjoyed casino bus trips, volunteering at her church, and was known as a great cook. Helen enjoyed summertime barbeques with her family and friends. Helen was loved & respected and will be missed by many, but will remain in the hearts of everyone that knew her.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 28th, after 5:00PM and to the Vigil Service at 7:00PM, all at Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 29th, at 11:00AM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 26950 Patrick Ave, Hayward. Committal will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
