Kenneth Jackson Obituary
Kenneth Walker Jackson Resident of Turlock Kenn was born on May 3, 1927 and passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013. He was 86 years old. He was a soldier in the Canadian Light Infantry in 1945. Kenn worked at General Motors in Canada and spent over 30 years working as a Newspaper Distribution Manager. He was one of the 4 original signers of the first Fremont Soccer league in the 1960's. He was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 161. He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for outstanding volunteerism and also achieved the highest award for training in the Boy Scout movement of a (4) bead trainer. He was later able to guide all four of his boys attain the rank of Eagle Scout. He was able to later see his granddaughter Jessica attain the Gold Award. His grandson, Sean also reached the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Turlock Masonic Lodge #395. He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth "Pete" Jackson in 2012. He survived by his loving wife, Thelma of 63 years, sons; John (Mary) Jackson, David Jackson and Mark (Rebecca) Jackson and his grandchildren, Ian, Heather, Jessica and Sean Jackson. A Celebration of Kenn's life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 1:00PM at Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave., Livermore, CA 94550. In lieu of Flowers donations to the Boy Scouts of America or Futures Explored 3547 Wilkinson Ln Lafayette CA 94549.
