Pamala passed away peacefully February 25, 2014 to be with her late husband Hing Fun Lew (Henry), and her loved ones that entered Heaven before her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; sister, Sun Ping Wong; and brother, Shew Ben Lee. She is survived by her son, Thomas; son, Donald; daughter-in-law, Allison; and grandson, Karlton.
She was born Soon Yee Lee, in the Toishan Province of China. Pamala married Henry, July 29, 1941 in China. She immigrated to the United States in 1955. Settling down in Pennsylvania, they began raising their two sons, Thomas and Donald.
The family moved to California in 1957, eventually settling in Castro Valley in 1963. During the early years, Pamala worked in sewing factories, canning factories, operated family businesses in liquor sales and dry cleaning services. She loved to visit with friends and relatives, go out for dim sum, and was a loyal member of Central Chinese Christian Church in Castro Valley, enjoying the fellowship and friendships.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm, and a funeral service to be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:30am at Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546.
