MAJORIE MAY TAYLOR
November 9, 1922 – February 22, 2014
Longtime Resident of Alameda
Marjorie Taylor passed away unexpectedly in Oakland February 22, 2014 at the age of 91. She was a native of Oakland and a longtime resident of Alameda. Marjorie was a graduate of Alameda High School class of 1940. Member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for 60 years. She was the chairperson of the Christmas at Sea Program for the Apostleship of the Sea and she was secretary at St. Joseph's Notre Dame High School both for 20 years. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Les Taylor. She is survived by her children James (the late Carol), Ginger (Glenn Patrick), Michael (Karlyn) and Terri (David Kinzel). 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grand Children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family attended a Vigil Services Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 7 PM at St. Joseph Basilica 1109 Chestnut St., Alameda. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 27, at 11 a.m. also at St. Joseph Basilica. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
