Herman "Ralph" Biancalana|

Herman "Ralph" Biancalana was born in San Fransico where he lived until 1935 then moved to Oakland. He attended Roosevelt High School in Oakland.After graduation he worked for GE until drafted into the Army where he served in the 70th infantry division then he went on to the 274 regiment as a sergeant where he was a mortar gunner. He received several medals for his service.After serving his country he returned to work for GE then went on to become a aircraft mechanic for Transoceanic Airlines in Oakland where he worked for several years. He then retired from the PG@E after over 30 years.
Ralph enjoyed boating and especially the single scull he even built his own and he was a active member of the South Bay Rowing Club.
Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife Shirley who he celebrated 56 wonderful and adventurous years with. Also his daughter Kerrie Hujar who lives in Connecticut with her husband Randy and their daughters Tabitha, Allison and Colleen. He was a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all that he knew.
Friends and family are invited to services Wednesday June 4th, 11:00 am in Reflection Chapel, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward. Burial to follow at 12:15 in Chapel of the Chimes cemetery.Reception to follow in Chapel of the Chimes Memories Room.
