Jim was reunited with his wife (Flo) who passed away on Jan. 2013. Jim was 82. He is survived by their seven children: Jim, Bill, Leslie, Rick, Darlene, Susie, and, Janet. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Betty Ann Northstein and brothers John Noble and Richard D. Noble. Jim is now reunited in heaven with their son Rodger, his sister Rose Emily Pennington and brother Frank Noble.
Jim started his journey off in the Navy as a Galley Cook with his brother Frank. After his 4 years he was a sheet metal worker with Gillig Brothers and Peterson Metal both in Hayward, CA but his passion and love was for steam engines. He was a member of Castro Point Railway and Niles Canyon Railway. Jim was a Scoutmaster for 2 Boy Scout Troops and started another one for intercity kids.
Friends and family went on a memorial train ride at Niles Canyon Railway in Sunol on Sun., 7-6. The interment with honors was at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. He was loved and will be missed by all.
