Loretta Ferraris passed away on Saturday after a valiant battle with a long-term illness and was surrounded by her immediate family.
Loretta was born in Hayward, CA and graduated from Hayward High School in 1950. She married Robert on July 13th, 1952 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hayward. Loretta enjoyed gambling in Reno and Tahoe, dancing, spending time in her lake house in Clearlake, 49er games at Candlestick (where she saw every game Joe Montana played), and visiting with friends and family.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband, Robert of 62 years; children Rhonda Carleton (Brian) of Brentwood and son Robert Ferraris (Lisa) of Castro Valley; grandkids Michelle (Joe), Chris (Anna), Daniel, Melissa (Greg), Kim, Rachel, Jessica; great-grandkids Katie and Austin. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Anita Duarte. The family would like to express gratitude towards Ginger and Ima from The Caring Hands for their recent care of Loretta.
Friends and Family are invited to a visitation Thursday August 21st, 2014 from 5pm-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm held at Jess C. Spencer's Mortuary in Castro Valley. The funeral will be on Friday August 22nd, 2014 at 10:30am at Transfiguration Church, 4000 E Castro Valley Blvd in Castro Valley. Her loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
