Charles Kiser Jr. Obituary
Charles Ellis Kiser, Jr. Aug. 20, 1920~Aug. 23, 2013 Resident of Walnut Creek Charles Ellis Kiser, Jr. was born in Novato, California. He passed peacefully in his home on 8/23/13 at the age of 93. The family and friends wish to express gratitude to his caregivers and to the Hospice of the East Bay. Charlie was a graduate of Lowell High School in San Francisco. He served in the Navy as a Radio Operator in WW II. His initial service was in the Fiji Islands and then in preparation for the invasion of the Japanese Home Islands. He earned his BA and CPA at Golden Gate University. He was Controller for Peralta Hospital for many years until his retirement. His passions were 49er Football, The Cal Bears and travelling with his wife, LuVerne. He reveled in his service as Travel Chair for SIRs. Charlie is remembered fondly by his many friends and family. He is pre-deceased by his wife LuVerne, survived by his brother Sheldon Kiser, his niece Michele Kiser Pearson and his nephew Eric Kiser. His funeral will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 11:00 am in Oakland at Mountain View Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Avenue. His Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 PM at Rossmoor's Stanley Dollar House in Walnut Creek.
