Union City, CA
Amanda Holloway Patrick passed away on July 24, 2014. She was born in Valdosta, GA but resided in Union City, CA for more than 30 years. She married Army Officer William Patrick, Jr (deceased) and was the loving mother of three children, Faith Patrick Fisher of Pleasanton, CA, Philip Patrick of Fairview, CA and Jill Patrick of Falls Church, VA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her brother, Julious Holloway.
She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fort Valley State College in Georgia and University of San Francisco, respectively. She served as an elementary school
in the Oakland Unified School District for 22 years. An avid bridge player, she earned Lifetime Master not long after retirement.
Amanda's life reflected her southern and Christian upbringing. She was an excellent cook with a love for hosting friends and family at her home. For years she served in ministries at Palma Ceia Baptist Church, East Bay Christian Fellowship and Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA and committed herself to the Bible Study Fellowship ministry. Those she left behind are grateful to have been blessed by her presence and grateful to have confidence that she is with God Almighty for eternity.
Funeral services will be held at Alfred Street Baptist Church on Monday, August 4th at 11am with repass to follow.
