Erma E. Liebler, 86, of Tawas City passed away March 8, 2013, at Bay Specialty Care Hospital in Bay City.
Erma was born on May 3, 1926, in Berville, Mich., to the late George and Elsie Whiting. She married William "Bill" Liebler on Aug. 18, 1948. Bill preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2006. Erma was also preceded in death by her brother, Grant Whiting.
Surviving are her brother, George (Helen) Whiting Jr. of Memphis, Mich.; daughter, Linda (Ken) Connon of Ossineke; two sons, Larry Liebler of Petoskey and Lyle (Gini) Liebler of Oscoda; and by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life with a memorial service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 727 S. Second Ave. in Alpena on Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m., with the service to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Shirley Ross-Jones will officiate. The family suggests memorials to the friend's hospice of choice.
