Guy L. Latham, age 101, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.
He was born in the Tawas City area on March 30, 1911. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1972. He moved back to Tawas City area and spent his final years enjoying his lake home until remarrying in 2001. He spent his final days on Margo Street in Tawas City.
He was a 60 plus year member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and Shrine. He was a past master of Roseville Lodge F & AM. He was a lifelong church member and a founding member of Tawas Area Presbyterian Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Grace; sons, Neil and Ken; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Annabel; his son, Fred; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 at noon at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Dave Meyers and Pastor Emeritus Jan Chambers of TAPC will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. (Masonic service at 5:30 p.m.) at the funeral home.
