Helen M. Lindke, 67, of Harrisville passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at home.
She was born April 12, 1945 to Thomas and Teresa (nee Poland) McDonald in Nelson, New Zealand. She was raised in New Zealand, later moving to Australia.
Helen was a citizen of New Zealand, worked for the Australian Department of Defense as a switch board operator and later moved to Altus Okla. where she married Charles Lindke on Sept. 14, 1980. They were residents of Altus before moving to New Zealand and then moving to Harrisville in 1996.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; one daughter, Maria Barnes of Atlanta, Ga.; two stepsons, Robert Lindke, of Fort Worth, Texas and Jeffrey Lindke of South Bend, Ind.; three sisters, Moira (Kasper) Butler of New Plymouth, N.Z., Jennifer Carroll of Rotorua, N.Z. and Kathryn McDonald of Nelson, N.Z.; one brother, Neil (Betty) McDonald of New Plymouth, N.Z.; two grandchildren, Joshua Barnes and Kathy Thames; five step-grandchildren, Nicholas Lindke, Corrina Lindke, Amanda Lindke, Brianna Lindke and Elana Lindke.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ian McDonald.
Cremation arrangements were handled through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
