James W. Runyon, 65, of Prescott passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1948 in Kayford, W.Va. to James Scott and Norma Louise (Lovejoy) Runyon, and was a 1965 graduate of East Bank High School in East Bank, W.Va.
James had been a long time resident of Prescott and had been a machinist in the tool and die industry.
He had served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Surviving are a son, Tommy Corbin of Michigan; two sisters, Loretta Joe Runyon of Pennsylvania and Debbie Ward of West Virginia; three brothers, Steven Runyon of Ohio, Ed Runyon of Michigan and Al Runyon of Reed City.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 27 at McDowell Funeral Home in Reed City with his brother, Al Runyon officiating.
Burial was in Chase Township Cemetery.
