Loretta Della Louise Felske

Loretta Della Louise Felske of Whittemore went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at her home, age 80.
Loretta was born on March 19, 1932 in Munger to Andrew and Esther (Timm) Meyer. She married Robert Felske on July 21, 1951 and together they celebrated 42 years of marriage until his passing in October 1992. Loretta later married Donald Gross on Oct. 21, 1995, and they were married for five years until his passing in March 2000.
She was employed by the Iosco County Sheriff's Department where she worked as a cook and retired after 30 years of service. Those who knew Loretta will always remember how she really enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, gardening, dancing, singing and yodeling. Loretta was very active in Emanuel Lutheran Church where she was a faithful member and helped with many different functions in the church.
Loretta is survived by her three loving children, Wendell (Judy) Felske of Tawas City, Michael (Sandy) Felske of Whittemore and Connie (Randy) Opdycke of Minnesota; five grandchildren, William Felske, Lois Felske, Hannah (Carl) Wanks, Matthew (Melinda) Felske and Brandi Opdycke; one step-son; two step-daughters; 10 great grandchildren; four sisters, Geraldine Esterhai, Irene Bublitz, Mabel Farnsworth and Carol Jean (Joe) Pasionek; one step granddaughter; two step great granddaughters; one brother, Andrew (Carol) Meyer; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Meyer and Judy Meyer; one brother-in-law, Art (Evie) Grasmeyer; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Felske and Donald Gross, two brothers, Herman Meyer and Carl Meyer; and three sisters, Marge Ryers, Marie Reiss and Pearl Grasmeyer.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. Her funeral service will held on Monday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City with Reverend Johnathan Schnose officiating. Interment will take place in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Robert Felske.
Loretta will be sadly missed by all who loved her, but faithfully she will be joining her two husbands and all of her family and friends in the Kingdom of Heaven. An on-line guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements are by Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City.
