Lucy Johnson of AuGres, passed away March 21, 2014 in Bay City, Michigan at 79 years of age.
She is survived by her loving husband, Victor; children, Teresa (Scott) Adler, Roxanna Blackwood, Gerald (Kay) Johnson, Marilyn (Brad) Trader, Steven (Doris) Johnson and Vicki (Joel) Holthaus; grandchildren, Christopher Adler, Lindsay Adler Brandon Pennington, Brett Blackwood, Brittany Blackwood, Donald Johnson, Brenda Sabin, Amy Johnson, Lucas Ferierra, Dakota Holthaus, Danille Holthaus and Delaney Holthaus; five great grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Mia, Dayton, Arianna and Eric; along with one brother, Russell (Melda) Combs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her daughter, Deonna; parents, Pearlie and Beulah (nee Clark) Combs; and seven siblings.
Lucy loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, cooking and traveling. Her most enjoyable moments were with her husband, Victor, where together they enjoyed every waking moment with each other playing cards, dice or a variety of board games She will be truly missed by her entire family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26 at the Tawas Chapel of Buresh Funeral Home, 416 Whittemore St. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6-8 p.m. A spring interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in East Tawas. Pastor Larry Stimson will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to Lake Huron Community Church, 402 Lincoln in East Tawas.
