Richard A. Nentwig, age 73, of Oscoda died on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 in Weslaco, Texas.
He was born in Saginaw on Oct. 9, 1939 to the late Ralph and Doris Nentwig (nee Wolf). Rich served 23 years in the United States Navy
before retiring in 1979 to Oscoda. He later worked as a manager of the Yard Works, for Ace Hardware, Iosco Transit as a bus driver, siding construction and inspecting boats for the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Rich enjoyed to travel and was an avid woodworker.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, whom he married on June 26, 1996; daughter, Shelly Nentwig of Napa, Calif.; son, Richard Nentwig of Oscoda; brother, Charles (Janet) Nentwig of Freeland; sister, Jean (Dave) Portwine of Freeland; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, James Nentwig.
