Deborah Lee Beahan, age 64, died peacefully at home in East Tawas on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas; her daughter, Sarah; her son, Patrick; Brett Markley; her granddaughter, Bridgette; her brother, Robert Gage; her stepfather, Jack Kallander; her aunt, Ruth Gage Burns; members of the extended Beahan family; and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Norma Gage Kallander and Robert Gage; and her grandmother, Lee Gage Ackerman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church in East Tawas. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deborah's favorite charity: FISH, Inc. Christmas Gifthouse, P.O. Box 548, East Tawas, MI 48730.
Deborah graduated from the University of Michigan, Flint and taught in the Flint public schools. She was former commodore of Tawas Bay Yacht Club. The family is very grateful to her many friends, especially Karen Potter-Witter and Cheryl Miller for their love and support. Interment will take place in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in East Tawas.
