Ronald Moore, 83, of AuGres passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 4, 2014 with his wife by his side at home.

Mr. Moore was born May 29, 1930 in Hardin County, Ohio to John and Bonnie (Byrd) Moore.
Mr. Moore was the owner of Moore's Painting and Decorating and Moore Real Estate, a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and a volunteer firefighter for 25 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and creating cherished memories with his beloved grandchildren. He was never at a loss for a practical joke. His family and friends loved his sense of humor.
Mr. Moore is survived by his loving wife, of 23 years, Linda Sue Moore; children, Kathleen (Bruce) Tucker, Robert (Sue) Moore, Daniel (Kelly) Moore, John (Colleen) Rollins and Sandra Dewald; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Besides his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Dorothy; daughter, Barbara Moore; and sister, Jean VanDeusen.
Visitation for Mr. Moore will take place 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 at C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., AuGres Chapel, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mr. Moore will lie in state at St. Mark Catholic Church on Friday, Feb. 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Fr. Thomas Kowalczyk officiating. Interment will follow in Sims-Whitney Cemetery, AuGres. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Helping Hands, 322 W. Houghton Ave., West Branch, MI 48661.
