Brandon Dale Kennedy of Windsor, Mo., formerly of East Tawas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, age 24 years.

Brandon was born in Tawas City on Jan. 20, 1989. He graduated from Tawas Area High School, Class of 2007. Brandon had a warm heart and would offer his help to anyone who was in need. He loved working with his Papa, bowling, football, hockey, playing pool, fishing and hunting, and just being outdoors. Brandon will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Terry and Angie Birkenbach of East Tawas; brothers and sisters, Nathan Leidecker, Ian Robertson, Terry and Jenney Birkenbach, Douglas Birkenbach, Kristy and Gary Rose and Sue Ann Robertson; grandparents, Dale "Papa" and Barb Kennedy, Susan Langdon and Annie Hughes; nieces and nephews, Jordyn, McKenzy and Warner Leidecker, Hailee, Mikaila and Seth Rose, Anthony, Austen and Emily Birkenbach, and Ethan Birkenbach; and many special friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandpa Langdon, Smurff (Larry Tiernan), Sherry LaLond and David Robertson.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Masonic Temple on M-55 in Tawas City. A burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in South Branch. An on-line guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
