Claude E. Nash of East Tawas passed away May 3, 2014 at 90 years of age.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie (James) Simmons; two grandchildren, Nicholas (Malarie Day) Simmons and Jonathan (fiancee' Erin Schade) Simmons; along with two siblings, Marie "Sis" Stasik and Clare Nash. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; and siblings, Carlton, Charles, William and Ruth Nash.
Mr. Nash was a World War II Marine veteran and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He loved to golf and was on a golf league at Tawas Creek Golf Club for over 50 years. He also was an avid hunter and a loyal Detroit Tigers fan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 401 Main St. in East Tawas. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tawas Chapel of Buresh Funeral Home, 416 Whittemore St. in Tawas City and Wednesday at church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in at Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
